The secret of the Balinese smile

It took me a while to finish this article that started a little before the eruption of Mount Agung, which the media keeps talking about it and creating panic while in Bali everyone is calm. The weather has slowed back to normal. I took advantage of a moment in the soft breeze of occupations and Gods to tell me that I had to finish this article, everything that I write is not for me or you who read this article, but for all those displaced from Mount Agung

It is nice to say that a natural disaster is common in Bali. I cannot help but be admiring the Balinese people never get angry with the gods, instead, they held the ceremonies and praying more than they did before. In Bali, there is no place for angry to the God, everything that happens to us often has a reason which allows us to accept it better.

In Bali, the cremations ceremony seem almost like a festival, like we celebrate it, why? Because it is our way to feel grateful to the God for the life that has been given to us and we know that the dead person does not really leave us, his spirit becoming an ancestor who will reincarnate one day. We are not afraid of death which for us is just the sign of a completed life cycle to start a new one.

Despite what is happening right now in Bali, the smile is still there. Of course, it’s not easy, but Balinese people often tend to take things as they come and adapt to situations because being in the community helps to support oneself, to help one another, to give ourselves bravery.

In Bali we do not have a lot of terms to distinguish very specific moments, what matters for us is to draw the best of the moment in life, well for that, moreover, we trying to never get back to the past memories and making a plan, we take life as it comes, it is God who carries us. We are not pessimistic even if we have nothing, we are always grateful to the gods, nature etc for what we have, for us it is like gifts of life that must be cherished. We prefer to see what we have rather than focus on what we do not have for us it has little value to complain about our living conditions, it does not bring anything to live in stress and to pollute our mind of negative thoughts.

The Balinese actually have a secret that avoids frustration, disappointment and that could strongly approach the definition of happiness. We have what is called “Tri Hita Karana” which is actually a philosophy that means “The three causes of prosperity” or the three causes of happiness. It is about creating 3 harmonies: humans with gods, humans with their fellow humans, humans with nature, so we form a kind of triangle. As the human who in the middle of these 3 relations, we have to make the harmonious life. This may explain why we are doing so many religious ceremonies to thank for really a lot of things. This philosophy of life allows the balance of the physical and spiritual world and allows us to take control of our lives and be responsible for it.

PARAHYANGAN: HARMONY WITH THE GODS

Some Balinese people think that it is important to build a good relationship with the gods, but the others think that if we forget the gods they will be angry with us.

For example, in my family there is a man of about sixty years old who never going to the temple for years, we do not really know why, while his wife and the rest of the family go there. It has been a year since he has a problem with his health until now he is very ill. So they went to see a traditional medium who said that the gods are angry that he no longer prays and no longer participates in any ceremony and that as long as he does not change his behavior and asks for forgiveness he will continue to be sick and his children will also suffer. As a result, a purification ceremony was made for him and since then he has invested more in religious life.

But in fact the concept of Parahyangan is more than that, it is about raising awareness of each individual so that he believes to be part of the gods and that he is in us. We hope that people can control their minds, emotions for their spiritual life during their passage on Earth.

PALEMAHAN: HARMONY WITH NATURE

Palemahan represents the harmony between humans and nature. The human tries to keep this harmony by thinking that they owe everything to nature. It’s like give and take theory, they must give something to nature as they took, because if they do not give back to nature, one day nature will stop to give to human and he will be angry. For example, the eruption of Mount Agung in 1963 was perceived as such; we saw there was a symbol of the punishment from Gods towards us. And with the eruption of Mount Agung recently, we know that the reason why it happened is we are punished by the God, he warned us to change our behavior, to treat the Earth better, be humble by learning to content ourselves and appreciate what nature gives us rather than sell it at any price. On October 5, 2017, moreover, a large part of the Balinese prayed at the same time at noon to apologize to the gods and to try to appease the anger of the Mount Agung. It shows us how small is human for nature, human and gods are all connected and why it is important for us to keep the harmony that unites us

This harmony transmitted very well with the ceremony that we did: it is tumpek uduh which is a reverence to the plants, the trees that give fruit etc. A good example of how much we are trying to be really grateful for the world around us.

PAWONGAN: HARMONY WITH HUMANS

Having good relations with the neighbors is the basis of the Balinese’s life, which is often represented by banjars. Social harmony is really important because it makes society work. If we have a state of positive mind we will do activities such as helping each other during the ceremonies when there is a family member is sick, everyone will visit him by making a donation and cheering them so they can get well soon. Clearly in Bali life is never lonely. At the end of the day what matters is the interaction with the people around us, never locking ourselves from the world, it just will make us so far away from the happiness.

This is why when we look at the world we do not have to look at it just from our point of view, not only thinking about our interests but also having a look at the community. For example, religious activities have this role of bringing the community together. From an early age, Balinese have learned not to assert their own individuality at the expense of group peace. In fact, the desire to push personal emotions and opinions on others does not show for us any emotional intelligence as do the control of his impulses and empathy.

Often you will see the Balinese sitting, laughing chatting and relaxed. They spend a lot of time raising children together, walking, preparing ceremonies, praying or making offers together. Psychologists refer to this behavior as “on the formation of the task” which is actually a practice of mindfulness that we practice daily. Taking time is actually a positive emotion that we try to maximize and that allows us to

For us the gods are at the top, we are in the middle and nature is at the bottom and we must respect these 3 aspects. Respect is thus vertical and horizontal is thus preserves the harmony that allows happiness or at least makes it possible to approach it.

“HUMILITY OF THE RICE PADDIES”

When a person has been very successful in life and prosperity is achieved it is important to keep one’s humility intact and become like rice paddies in the fields that are full of grain and it leans on the side. Great wisdom results from people who are learning from who the rice paddies life. When the rice paddies sprouts are ripe and ready to be harvested a wise person will become like this whole rice paddies, acting with humility and happiness, quietly, without saying much, and without being boastful of his accomplishments or successes.

If a person comes on the road of boasting of his success, symbolically it becomes like the upright seed of rice, stretching to the sky, empty with a great ego and no humility.

In Bali, the teachings of rice paddies are expressed at a young age and the Balinese say it is better to be rather “humble rice paddies” falling on the side and full “than rice paddies with the big ego” extending to sky up, backward and empty

Indomie Menambah Selera, Imunisasi (?)

Siapa yang tidak pernah sama sekali makan INDOMIE?

Saya rasa, hampir semua orang di Indonesia pernah mengkonsumsi makanan instan satu ini, apalagi dikalangan anak Kost.

Di Indonesia sendiri, tentu kita tidak asing lagi. Merupakan salah satu makanan yang kerap kali jadi teman Nasi diatas piring walaupun sama-sama mengandung karbohidrat, unik.

Bagaimana dengan di Luar Negeri?

Yasss

Indomie tidak kalah popular. Beberapa waktu lalu, disebuah Negara yang terkenal membuat racikan bumbu Indomie sendiri, menggunakan makanan instan ini untuk meningkatkan angka imunisasi untuk anak-anak. Negara itu adalah Nigeria.

Popularitas Indomie di Nigeria memang tidak terbantahkan.

Demi mencakup angka yang ditargetkan, negara ini memberikan hadiah berupa Indomie kepada anak yang datang untuk di Imunisasi. UNICEF yang bekerja sama dengan Pemerintah Bagian Sokoto mengadakan imunisasi polio bagi anak-anak berusia sehari hingga lima tahun di delapan area. Dengan satu pax indomei anak-anak dan para orang tua datang berbondong-bondong. Rupanya, strategi ini sukses besar. Daily Nigerian melaporkan bahwa jumlah anak yang diimunisasi telah melebihi target yang berjumlah 58.813 anak.

Seperti dilaporkan oleh News Agency of Nigeria, pelaksanaan imunisasi di sebelah barat laut Nigeria memang mengalami banyak kendala. Salah satunya karena para orangtua Nigeria meyakini bahwa imunisasi polio bisa membuat anak-anak mereka mandul. Padahal, polio merupakan masalah serius di negara tersebut. Berkat pendekatan dari para pemimpin adat dan agama, penolakan terhadap vaksin polio kini berkurang banyak. Petugas imunisasi Pemerintah Sokoto lainnya, Isa Aminu, mengatakan, para pemimpin tradisional dan agama juga telah memberikan dukungan mereka dalam memobilisasi para keluarga agar memperbolehkan anak-anaknya diimunisasi untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mereka. Dibantu oleh kekuatan Indomie, jumlah anak-anak di Nigeria yang sudah diimunisasi pun melambung.

Apakah di Indonesia yang merupakan asal muasal Indomie dengan varian yang bermacam-macam dapat menggunakan strategi serupa?

Mungkin Indomie perlu di cap "aman" dulu, mengingat Indomie tidak bisa dikonsumsi terlalu sering.

Pieces of My Perspective about Change

Honestly,

I hate attaching to others, I have experienced it once and don't want it to hit my heart and head anymore, but I still learn until current.... Indeed, it's part of the change in life and I started to fully accept it. At the end I just realized, I am in the process of growing to be strongest emotionally and mentally. That's because of change ...

I learned something…

Nothing lasts forever in the world except change. Change is Eternal, are we always aware and ready?

Most of us are walking around consciously thinking we are living in a universe where things are constantly changing and influxes. However, when we link this idea with the proposition that under the veneer of our lives is the struggle for our lives take. The conflict between living in a world where things are constantly changing and our feeling to be grounded is reflected in our thoughts, emotional states, and our self-identity actions.

Without a change, surely this life will feel mediocre and stuck.

Furthermore, whenever we experience a threat, the response can be thought of as a threat to the identity of the amorphous feeling of groundlessness and dissociation. The very idea of identity in our desire to be rooted in the world to see ourselves like this and not that. The challenge for many of us is how to live acknowledgment of the flow of constant change. Accepting impermanence, however, can lead to a life with less internal conflict and open the door to a deeper level of self.

This can be free from identities that are always external and uncontrollable. The risk of change through change may not actually occur. If we are too uncomfortable to go through the course, we will lose the message and we will accompany the transformative effect. Turning too quickly away from what changes have to offer may cause us to learn valuable insights, or be gifted by a powerful lesson. The key here is lifelong lessons in everyday life. When we have accepted and mastered that concept, it's far easier to adjust lives according to the knowledge and trust that we are being carried in its flow. It is also amazing how we have our own ability to recover easily or change.

Mahatma Gandhi famously said, "Be the Change, You must want to see in the world." In other words, although life changes are inevitable, we can also initiate personal change so we can rise to the challenge and become a bigger and better person as a result. I always said to myself every meditate in the early morning that "I open my mind and heart to new possibilities but I have to avoid expectation and attachment to others. It all depends on you”, so I hope to be more ready to face change that happens in my life that day.

Some of us are able to jump more quickly than others. I have experienced a change in my life and go for it with some life lessons I got from it. Indeed, through change, we have a real chance to grow into something better so we can grow to be a better human being.

So from that, it is important to always train ourselves (practice, gain more knowledge, and be ready) to face changes that are continuously and continuously approaching. As a result of the changes we will continue to face, it is important for each of us to begin to realize that we must be prepared and accept it as a process in this life. Avoid attachment to avoid conflict. Especially conflicts with ourselves.

Loss, achievement, pleasure, and sadness will definitely come over, but come back again how we react to it whether we dissolve in it or face it and realize that it is natural because change is the one and only permanent in this world. We as a Balinese believe in karma and everything happens for reasons added with my favorite film “3 Idiot” which I use their magic words “All is Well” to enjoy the show of change because it can lead to being mindful.

-Hai Mas Dede-

Selama perjalanan pulang saya membaca kembali Love Letter Mas Dede kirimkan ke email beberapa waktu lalu. Saya hanya ingin memastikan tidak ada satu kalimat pun yang terlewatkan karena biasanya Mas Dede suka berkata dan menulis sesuatu yang tanpa disadari tersirat lebih dari satu makna hmmm

Syukurlah sejauh ini merasakan hal yang sama “Jeleb” seperti biasanya haha

Hari ini saya ketemu sama bapak-bapak paruh baya yang kebetulan satu pesawat mas. Beliau mengunjungi cucunya dan kembali ke Bali sendirian. Setelah ngobrol banyak, ternyata beliau satu pesawat dengan saya. Beliau banyak bercerita tentang anak dan cucunya, tentu, saya dengan senang hati mendengarkan mengingat dengan ngobrol gini rasa ngantuk rasanya enyah. Lalu, bapak ini berkata pada saya mas “Baru kali ini bapak ketemu sama anak muda yang anteng mendengarkan orang asing bercerita tanpa main HP tapi malah menggenggam buku (padahal itu buku baru saya beli cuma lupa masukin tas)”, lalu saya langsung ingat dengan Mas Dede. “Wahh ini kan yang sering Mas Dede bilang” pikir saya ini ngefek banget ya sambil cengar-cengir. Lalu saya izin buat tidur karena kemarin begadang, jangan tanya mas kenapa, begadang saya biasanya tidak berfaedah haha

Alih-alih tidur....

Saya malah jadi menangis...

Saya menangis mengingat betapa beruntungnya saya bertemu dengan Mas Dede.

Jika saja saya tidak kenal mungkin saya tidak menjadi Widia seperti sekarang ini (masih jauh dari kata perfect tapi saya memang tak menginginkan kesempurnaan tanpa doi, duhh ini apaaa ehh).

Saya masih ingat betul, kali pertama saya bertemu Mas Dede di Kemenpora waktu itu, pas Nyepi mas itu, saya tidak menyepikan diri karena ikutan ini. Mas bertanya “Apa yang kamu lakukan selain berkuliah?”. Saya menjawab dengan terbata-bata aktivitas diluar perkuliahan, salah satunya di Slukat learning Center (SLC). Dengan panjang lebar saya menjelaskan dan ternyata Mas Dede pernah ke SLC tapi waktu itu mas malah gak bilang apa-apa. Mas tau? yang mas lakukan itu jahat! hoho

Dari sejak itu saya sudah merasa wahhhh wahhh, saya speechless mengrenyitkan alis, karena “tingkah” tersebut bikin saya secara tidak langsung belajar untuk tidak sesumbar walaupun kita mengetahui sesuatu. Kalau kata orang Bali “Ede ngaden awak bise, depang anake ngadanin” ini ngena banget.

Kemudian, ditambah lagi saya terharu sekali mas. Saya ungkap sekarang yaa mas haha

Mas ingat gak setelah saya lulus saya sempat menghilang sekian bulan dari sosial media? mungkin ini momen yang bikin saya sekarang lebih bijak. Waktu itu, pokoknya saya bodo amat gamau nge-cek apapun di sosmed. Saya menghidupkan HP hanya jikalau saya mesti menghubungi orang tua saya (titik), saya menghabiskan waktu bangun-tidur-baca-yoga-nulis-makan-tidur (repeat).

Tapi akhirnya Mas Dede menghubungi saya lewat telepon sore hari tepat sesaat mungkin HP saya aktif, Mas Dede menanyakan kabar saya bla bla...

Malamnya saya menangis sejadi-jadinya mas, saya terharu dengan perhatian Mas Dede yang begitu peduli dengan saya. Jujur saya tidak bermaksud untuk “menghilang”, hanya saja saya ingin beristirahat dari hingar-bingar sosial media setelah lulus. Ketika mas pernah bergumam karena banyaknya sosial media yang kita miliki.

Mas tau gak mas? Mas satu-satunya yang telepon saya selain orang tua saya (duhh kok ngenes haha), seolah ingin ikut menyelesaikan masalah yang saya hadapi. Mungkin terlihat seperti itu yaa mas? Hehe

Selama beberapa bulan itu mas, saya sebenarnya sedang berpikir: What’s next? Tapi saya tidak ingin ada yang tau, termasuk kedua orang tua saya. Setelah Mas Dede telepon akhirnya saya merasa "cukup" dan waktunya kembali...

Kemudian...

Mas Dede mempercayai saya untuk ikut andil dalam Program Indonesia-Japan Homestay setelah sebelumnya saya ikut jadi relawan di Jakarta. Mas Dede “seperti” menarik saya... Iya mas, saya merasa Mas Dede membawa saya kepada lingkungan yang menurut saya “seram” awalnya...

Tetapi kemudian saya menyadari, Mas Dede sedang mencemplungkan saya pada “Universitas Kehidupan”. Bertemu dengan teman-teman mas yang jujur bikin saya jengah mas. Lingkungan yang membuat kami-kami ini belajar dari hanya dengan "sebuah pertemuan".

Mas Dede....

Tuhan maha baik yaaa..

Saya mungkin satu dari 265 jt-an penduduk Ina yang beruntung. Mana pernah terbayang saya bisa ke Jepang lagi tahun ini? Bukan hanya untuk “melali” tetapi saya mendapatkan hal yang lebih dari apa yang saya harapkan. Panjang kalau diceritakan tapi yang paling berkesan adalah ketika kita masak-masak bareng mas, duhh rasanya waktu itu saya langsung kangen bapak saya mas, minum alkohol pertama kalinya, bahkan di Jepang saya akhirnya makan Daging Sapi. Bahkan saya bersepeda keliling Kyoto sendirian mas, iya sendirian sampai malam mas. Secara tidak langsung kesempatan-kesempatan yang datang dari uluran tangan mas membentuk saya menjadi sampai sekarang ini. Bahkan sekarang saya kepelosok-pelosok sendirian, berkenalan dengan orang baru tanpa ada rasa takut, rapat dengan orang baru, sungguh terasa perubahannya mas. Bahkan saya nonton film "suzzanna bernafas dalam kubur" sendirian abis gak ada yang mau saya ajakin nonton haha

Mas tau gak?

Kalau nanti semisal Mas Dede bertemu dengan Bu Ayu (SLC), dulu sewaktu saya masih micin, saya orangnya pemalu mas bahkan waktu di interview Mas Dede saya waktu itu masih terbata-bata, saya masih minder lihat “saingan” saya lainnya disana. Jangankan ngobrol dengan orang baru, bertemu dengan mereka aja saya sembunyi karena saking pemalunya. Tetapi bagaimana dengan saya yang sekarang?

Mas Dede....

Ingat gak mas waktu saya nangis karena putus?

Baik,, ini adalah momen turning point dalam hidup saya belajar lebih banyak dari Mas Dede.

Waktu itu saya hanya menangis di 3 orang saja mas, bahkan orang tua saya tidak termasuk didalamnya. Jujur saya bukan orang yang gampang menunjukkan emosi sebenarnya terutama saat sedang sedih.

Saya sempat sebal tau mas, kok mas malah bilang “You will go through it, widia mah cocoknya sama...”, padahal hati lagi berdarah-darah mas *lebay. Dengan santainya Mas Dede bilang widia harusnya dapat orang yang lebih dari ini... Walaupun terlihat cuek tapi saya tau mas peduli sekali sampai Mas Dede mengirimkan kutipan buku “Suwung”. Masih saya simpan mas, yang bikin saya memahami tentang kemelekatan. Dua minggu setelahnya saya baru sadar kalau ini adalah "proses", Mas Dede yang paling bijak dalam diam bisa bikin jeleb saya. Besok-besok kalau saya naksir cowok saya konsultasi sama mas dulu yaa kira-kira pas gak yaa haha

Mas Dede...

Saya senang, sungguh sangat senang. Mas Dede selalu senantiasa mengajari saya sesuatu, saking banyaknya saya malas ngetiknya nanti kalau jadi paper gimana dong haha *iniaja udah panjang Lol

BiBiT, wadah baru buat saya “kembali” dengan cara yang saya sukai...

Terima kasih Mas, terima kasih Banyak, kalau ada kata yang lebih dari terima kasih saya pasti sudah comot, sayangnya saya gak tau mas.

Mas Dede yang selalu ada buat kasi widia semangat....

Selalu jadi rumah untuk kembali pulang....

Selalu jadi tempat buat membagi rasa senang dan sedih...

Apalagi membagi makanan ehh haha

Selalu mengarahkan untuk jadi orang yang lebih baik setiap harinya

Saya mungkin tidak bisa membalas kebaikan yang mas berikan, tapi saya yakin mas pasti sudah merasakan bagaimana cara saya membalas kebaikan Mas Dede...

Maaf ya mas, kadang saya bandel...

Maaf ya mas, kadang saya cengeng, walaupun mas selalu bilang “You’re so Independent”

Saya yakin Mas Dede sudah tau betul saya bagaimana... semoga masih boleh bandel-bandel dikit ya mas biar seru haha

Udah itu dulu aja ya mas, air mata saya kebetulan udah kering, saya udah sampai Bali mau turun takut mata sembab banget dan gak ada ide lagi mau nulis apa haha.

Yang jelas, kalau ada sosok yang Orang Tua saya “sangat berterimakasih” sudah mendidik anaknya selama mereka sibuk bekerja,,,

Mas Dede adalah orangnya...

Thank you for your honest words, even when it’s the opposite of what I wanted to hear (but exactly what I needed to hear).

Thank you for your kindness and teaching me to be kind to others.

Thank you for pushing me to excel in my academics.

Thank you for your love, when I’ve felt the lowest. Knowing I was loved made all the difference in the world.

Thank you for reminding me about living a simple, less materialistic life and finding what truly is important to me.

Thank you for proving to me that it’s okay to be upset about something, as long as you don’t take it out on someone else.

Thank you for teaching me to keep an open mind, even when I want to resort to my close-minded ways.

Thank you for showing me that a trip across the world can bring you the happiness you’ve desperately needed.

Thank you for being a role model to me.

I’m sure there’s more I could thank you for, because you truly have had one of the biggest impacts on my life.

OTSUKARESAMA sudah menjadi Mentor yang luar biasa adem mas....

Sudah menjadikan saya salah satu anak didikmu.. Saya yakin mereka pun begitu...

Lovely Morning Routine

Since graduated and started to jump in the working life, I started to be more organize and called as a plan’s woman by my co-workers. I always love to organize and planning everything (so much). I love myself even more when I got lots of benefits just only from improving my morning routine.

I will walk you to my morning routine inspired by the incredible insight that I have learned from Jim Kwik.

Thank the God. I never check my social media when I just woke up in the morning at 5 am. Based on some research it is really bad for our brain (it works, I love it)
Remember dreams. Look at my vision board hanging on the wall and doing positive self-talk.
Make my bed. I do this since I was a kid.
Drink lots of water. Dehydrate while sleep for 7-8 hours having a glass of water will good to start your day.
Brush my teeth with my opposite hand and wash my face. I do this because I want to efficiently use both of my hands and said it good for neuro systems.
Deep breathing exercise and a short meditation. I do this since I was a kid and good for my body.
Make brain tea (Green tea/Moringa tea, Jepun tea). Never put any sugar on it since.
Workout (Jogging & Yoga). I do yoga since I was in elementary school until current.
Make my own Healthy Breakfast contain vegetables and juice without any sugar. I love this so much because of controlling everything that I consume is a new level of mindfulness
Journaling (Gratitude + Life Learners). I have my small note for daily activities-mark it at the end of the day to reflect and a quite big one for writing what I grateful with as well as my goals.
Reading my lovely non-fiction collections (30'-1 hr). Addicted to non-fiction since years ago.

Everyone saying this routine will interfere with there “morning commute” and need “4 hours” really need to stop with the excuses. If you want it that bad, you’ll wake up earlier and get it done. Maybe you can't fit the entire routine in, but you start somewhere. To make a change you have to get out of your comfort zone and drop the bad habits so you can welcome the good habits.

Not to mention to go to bed early and get your 7-8 hours of sleep.,

It's good for your Mental health.

Ubud Writers & Readers Festival 2018

Memasuki tahun penyelenggaraan ke-15 pada 2018 ini, Ubud Writers and Readers Festival (UWRF) berlangsung pada 24-28 Oktober 2018. Sesuai namanya, event tahunan ini digelar di Ubud, Bali. Selama lima hari, para peserta disuguhi berbagai acara dari diskusi serius hingga obrolan santai tentang sastra, dari pertunjukan menarik sampai sejumlah workshop.

UWRF 2018 mengambil tema “Jagadhita” yang diambil dari sebuah filosofi Hindu kuno, yang kurang lebih berarti “kebahagiaan di jagad raya sebagai sebuah tujuan hidup.”

UWRF ini telah menjadi festival sastra terbesar di Asia Tenggara, sebagaimana tertulis di situs web resminya, UWRF merupakan “sebuah wadah untuk membawa sastra dan seni Indonesia ke hadapan dunia internasional, sekaligus juga ruang yang mengajak pengunjungnya mengenali isu-isu besar yang selama ini mengelilingi kehidupan kita.” Festival ini pertama kali diselenggarakan pada 2004 oleh Yayasan Mudra Swari Saraswati, “sebagai sebuah proyek penyembuhan dari tragedi Bom Bali I yang menghancurkan pariwisata Pulau Bali.”

Selanjutnya, apa yang membedakan Main Program dengan acara di UWRF?

Kategori yang satu ini berbeda dengan After Dark Event, Book Launch, Cultural Workshop, Workshop, Special Events, The Kitchen, dan lainnya. Untuk program After Dark dan Book Launch, pemilik 4-Day Pass tidak akan dikenakan biaya tambahan. Siapa pun bisa ikut bergabung dan memeriahkan dua acara tersebut karena keduanya merupakan bagian dari Free Events. Sementara itu, jika Anda ingin mengikuti Cultural Workshop, Workshop, Special Event, atau The Kitchen, tentunya Anda harus membayar sejumlah biaya tertentu.

Mengikuti UWRF 2018 tidak hanya menjadi acara untuk mengikuti serangkaian kegiatan yang disuguhi tetapi juga menjadi ajang reunian kecil-kecilan karena di acara ini saya dapat berjumpa dengan teman-teman lama, terinspirasi untuk menulis, dan juga merencanakan proyek komunitas.

Jadi, UWRF ini tidak hanya dikhususnya bagi teman-teman penulis atau yang suka membaca, tetapi juga menawarkan pengalaman workshop, kelas-kelas dengan sesi yang sangat menarik, dan juga menikmati suasana Ubud sekitarnya.
